About Lori:
Lori specializes in corporate tax matters involving insurance companies in general as well as federal income tax issues arising in insurance company rehabilitation and liquidation proceedings. In her practice she focuses on issues arising in reinsurance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, structured settlements and consolidated returns filed by insurance companies. She is the former Co-Coordinator of the Insurance Tax Seminar, an annual seminar held in Washington, DC, which is co-sponsored by the IRS Office of Chief Counsel and the Federal Bar Association. Her substantive tax experience began with four years in the Corporate Tax and Reorganization Branch of the Internal Revenue Service, where she addressed tax issues arising in corporate reorganizations and corporate tax issues for financially troubled businesses. Lori has been with the firm since 1992.
